Role: I connected with Monte and the former addicts and formerly incarcerated living inside the home to collaborate on a project centered on how they rehabilitate, heal and grow together. To take control of their narratives, the men utilized cameras and journals to document and illustrate their experiences within the establishment. Subsequently, I worked closely with them and their material to highlight the main themes and ensure that the essence of their story resonated through collages, videos, and audio interviews. For dissemination, I curated the narrative for both online and print platforms, presenting it as a two-page photo spread that integrated words, images, and objects to evoke maximum impact, comprehension, and narrative coherence.

In this endeavor, I collaborated closely with Josh Wolfson, my Editor-in-Chief, to ensure a harmonious integration of imagery and text.

Casper Star-Tribune: A year with a group of women bound by their love for burlesque

Role: Over the course of a year, I collaborated closely with writer Mary Steurer and the women of Keyhole Peepshow to document their journeys of balancing daily life with their involvement in burlesque. Through numerous conversations, a project rooted in reciprocity emerged, transcending mere performance to delve into the unseen forces shaping women's lives: body image, motherhood, sensuality, and female community. It was paramount to me to demonstrate the effervescence they carried on the stage was also present in their daily lives, so I used natural light to simulate them glowing in the stage light. What initially began as a collection of still images evolved into a multimedia endeavor aimed at amplifying the voices and experiences of the group's mothers, thereby honoring their profound intricacies. Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with Mary to ensure seamless alignment between the images and narrative. Spearheading a comprehensive photo spread, I leveraged various social media and online platforms to disseminate the story widely, allowing it to resonate profoundly with a diverse audience.
