Julianne Frances Kelly majored in political science and public communications. She was a romantic, lover of the arts, and a prolific poetry writer. After reading many of her poems and anecdotal pieces, I noticed many of the excerpts I read from were from “Journals”, and it made me think: what would a page out of Julianne’s journal look like? What clippings and images would she have that inspired her romantic, creative spirit? What words and codes would she write down that became her secret language? Derived from imagery described in her many poems and elements of her personality described by her family, this piece is meant to embody Julianne, her growth, and her thoughts in pages of a journal that was entirely her own.
